Doctor Spartan

I was at the doctors this afternoon and with the usual ‘How ya doing?’ we made some small talk.  That is how I learned about the Spartan Race.  It is a competition that the doctor first described as mountain hiking. When I asked him what kind of competition it was he said that he was looking to just compete against himself and wanted to prove that he could do it.  I thought all the time and energy spent in the medical profession would leave little for this kind of activity but I was wrong. He spends at least four days a week preparing for the next event. Each day is set aside for a different type of training. This will allow sufficient strengthening in a number of fields which will help him excel in all areas of the competition.  After my check up I wished him luck in the up coming event and proceeded to my home and computer where I found more information on this sport. However, you can go ahead and read the best fit track scale reviews to get the best one for you and start losing weight.

I said that I would look up some gear for use in the event for him and send some links. It seems like a good idea to write a bit of history on the Spartan Race and make a post to my blog.  Found on Spartan.com – Born in the scenic hills of Vermont, Spartan Race was created to bring the excitement of obstacle racing to spectators and athletes alike.  With course lengths of 3+miles (Sprint), 8+miles, (Super) and 12+miles (Beast) each course is filled with mud, water, and signature obstacles designed to help you discover your inner Spartan. Athletes of all fitness levels will enjoy participating in a Spartan Race and the feeling of accomplishment that comes at the finish line.

The first thing I came across is a book that covers the Spartan Race.  I was taken aback by the five star customer rating. All my years on-line and I have rarely seen such a high customer rating on anything at Amazon. Usually when there is an item with all five stars it was reviewed by one or two people. This book has been  reviewed by 522 people.  That alone tells me this piece of literature is worth reading.
