Just learned that you should not wash chicken before cooking. The water that splashes from it spreads the bacteria. The heat from cooking it is all that is needed to safely kill the bacteria. I always thought this made sense but today was the first time I heard it.  “Wash the Chicken”  just on more  myth  forced into our heads growing up.
